Vines are grown in a wire trellis. We re-planted an old vineyard earlier this year and also renewed all the wiring and support for that occasion. Therefore we mounted more than 35 km wire this week.

35 km is a bit too much to roll out by hand. Using a tractor and the right machinery is much more convinient - almost like taking a walk or easy drive through the vineyard. Mounting the wires to the support has to be done by hand afterwards anyway.
See the pictures for a before-after comparison. It already looks like a real vineyard. The young Grüner Veltiner vines are also growing nicely so it looks like we chose an ideal year for replanting!
