Guessing Game Results

The Innsbruck Spring Fair is over, and with it our 40th anniversary fair. There was quite a lot going on, and many of our visitors not only tasted great wines, but also took part in our anniversary guessing game. Now the results are in.

First things first - there were exactly 163 corks in the glass balloon

A total of 64 guesses were submitted. The estimated range was between 58 and 1500 corks. Most of the values submitted were around 200 corks, which is slightly higher than the actual number. Nobody guessed the exact value, but 2 estimates of 164 corks each were submitted. This made a further decision necessary - the final winner was determined by a drawing of lots from the two results.

So that the equally close but ultimately second-ranked winner is not too disappointed, we have decided to double the prize for second place. So the prize will be two instead of one magnum bottle.

Winners are

• First place (164 corks) - Mrs. R., Götzens - A wine tasting at our winery including an overnight stay in Gols.
• Second place (164 corks) - Mr. T., Rum - One magnum bottle each of Canopus and Capella
• Third place (160 corks) - Mrs. P., Innsbruck - One magnum bottle Canopus

The winners will of course be notified by us. Many thanks to everyone else for taking part. We are already looking forward to the next fair. Then in the 41st year and hopefully in many more.
