The Pinot Blanc is an old, traditional white wine variety and well known in almost every nameable wine growing region on earth. Everywhere the Pinot Blanc is much renowned and developed in many variations. Wines like our Pinot Blanc Late Harvest Barrique occupy a special position here. Fermentation and aging in new small oak barrels lead to a wine with a distinctive international character which stands out from the crowd of typical Austrian white wines. This wine does not suit everybody but is much valued by people who fancy this special style.

Tasting notes

Our Pinot Blanc 2006 Barrique shows its well rounded but strong character. Full flavours, slight smoky tones and exceptional fullness form a wine that leaves a great impression.

This Pinot Blanc Barrique is well suited for strong and spicy meals. It is also perfect as an apteritif or when an alternative to red wine is sought after for some foods.
