Rosé 2007

Rosé is made out of red wine grapes. Contrary to red wine the grapes used for Rosé are pressed almost immediately after the harvest. During this short period the juice takes up only little colour from the grape skins and the wine attains the typical Rosé colour. The character of Rosé wines lies in between white and red wines. They combine the fresh and juvenile fruitiness of whites with the fullness of reds. Therefore fruity red wine varieties are preferred in Rosé production. We like to use Blaufränkisch grapes because of their frisky acidity and their distinguished flavours.

Tasting notes

Our Blaufränkisch Rosé 2007 shows a bright light red colour. The aromatic bouquet already tells its full-bodied character. The Rosé inspires with an exquisite fruitiness which comes into its own together with its opulent body and the fine acidity.

Food suggestion

Rosé is a great summer wine and ideal for contemplative hours.

Ageing potential

Best to drink within two years after the harvest.
